Project Management
Robert Tammerle is CEO of Tammerle Carpentry. He is a master carpenter and state-certified wood technician, contributing 45 years of experience to the carpentry business. Clients, architects, and designers, both nationally and internationally, greatly appreciate his exceptional sense of space and interior design.
He briefly and succinctly describes himself: passion for details. His employees benefit from his meticulous planning and organizational skills, ensuring that every project is thoroughly thought out down to the smallest detail. A systematic pursuit of perfection, guided by true craftsmanship expertise.
Product Management
Emil Tammerle is the son of Robert Tammerle and a qualified interior architect. He gained professional experience working in various logistics companies, carpentry workshops, and with renowned architect Matteo Thun in Milan. Since 2022, he has been part of Tammerle Carpentry and currently holds the position of COO.
He oversees measurements, the preparation of production drawings, and manufacturing processes. For clients, he employs cutting-edge technologies for 3D visualizations.
Customer Experience
The customer experience during the planning phase is continually adapted to current trends and innovations.
Currently, clients experience their spaces in meticulous detail and realism—even before production—through virtual reality headsets in virtual environments, simulating light, sun exposure, and reflective surfaces on a one-to-one scale.
A comprehensive service ensuring rooms are precisely tailored to individual visions and desires—carpentry in the year 2025.
Project Consulting
The client is our priority: a wide variety of technical solutions are explained, presented, and illustrated to each customer—covering topics such as materials, height levels, motion sequences, directions of opening, handle heights, and ergonomics.
With more than 70 years of company experience in interior fittings, especially in carpentry, this accumulated knowledge can be individually adapted—for example, according to body height.
Client in the Planning Process
Once a client accepts the proposal for the furnishing or interior construction, the execution planning phase begins.
In close collaboration and consultation, spaces are visualized and simulated, materials are discussed, and surfaces are touched, tested, and examined.
Through meetings, discussions, and often weeks of thoughtful consideration, it is ensured that the final result meets the client’s expectations.
Material Consulting
The consulting service for materials is one of the most distinctive hallmarks of Tammerle Carpentry and is among the most deeply appreciated services by clients.
Every request is addressed individually, colors are explored, and custom samples are created and provided to clients—ensuring, for example, that floor finishes and window frame wood are perfectly coordinated with other trades involved.
Custom Sample Fabrication
For material consulting and work with the material box, the team at the carpentry workshop creates individually crafted samples during the planning phase. This allows clients not only to see the materials used in their interior but—most importantly—to touch and feel them.
Sensing with the eyes and seeing with the hands.
Material Boxes
Material boxes are used to arrange selected materials and surfaces in one place to evaluate whether the chosen color combinations are harmonious. This includes examining door handles, sinks, front materials, kitchen countertops and their tactile qualities, as well as materials for windows and doors—all the way to the color of the material inside the cabinet. What does the cabinet look like on the inside when opened?
Connection to Place
Anyone who knows Tammerle Carpentry and its team understands the deep significance of the place where they design, plan, research, and craft. The view of the Sciliar – one of the iconic landmarks of the Dolomites – together with the local church, creates a familiar environment, a place of retreat, and a foundation for staying calm and focused, even in high-pressure phases of large-scale projects, far from the noise of the city.
Carpentry
As a carpentry workshop, Tammerle has remained true to its roots spanning more than 70 years: The production facilities are equipped to process all types of wood and/or boards with a wide range of coatings, as well as to carry out work with veneers—including the fabrication of small components using 3D printing.
For materials such as glass, stone, metal, ceramic, stainless steel, aluminium, or granite, Tammerle relies on a broad network of regional and interregional suppliers and partners, enabling the realisation of complete interior solutions.
Production
Tammerle’s production facility is designed to manufacture every individual component of an interior or furniture installation. A CNC machining center, edge banding machines, and various planing systems provide maximum flexibility. For additive manufacturing, the production line is completed by an in-house 3D printer.
Installation
After production, the same team that crafted the interior elements takes direct responsibility for delivery and installation—a seamless approach that highlights the carpentry’s commitment to a fully integrated service, from interior construction and surface treatment to final assembly.
Client Impression
“
For our new retirement residence in the South of Bolzano, our South Tyrolean architects Bergmeister Wolf recommended Tammerle Carpentry for all joinery work.
And I must say, it was exactly the right choice for us. Tammerle is a traditional company with a deep sensitivity for wood, combined with many new ideas for contemporary implementation. From the very beginning, the collaboration developed perfectly, and our project—thanks in large part to Tammerle’s excellent and punctual work—became our dream home.
Many thanks,
Hansjörg and Vlasta Treu
